The MNR GM3

After waiting several months (Its now September!!) the ordered Fury chassis still hadn't materialised, we already had our concerns about using the Fury chassis, but due to the delay decided to start looking at different options and speaking to various people. After a couple of weeks we had a several options, which entailed different amounts of work, design and support from existing manufactureres. We didnt want tio build and design a chassis from scratch, it requires just too much development work (something we have enough of with the drive system), so the option of buying a fully developed and proven chassis seemed the best way forward. RAW engineering who make the Striker are close by, seemed very helpful on the phone and the car is well proven, but we had to discount that down to its cost. Danny at MK had been brilliant (and i know hom from the racing) and we were all set to go up and have a look over a chassis to work out what would be required, but was then approached by Marc and Chris Nordon at MNR. We had always been impressed with the build quality and design of the Vortx and through our frienship with Dave and Steve in the paddock knew the car quite well, infact i had seen Daves MNR close up and personal on many occasions throughout the 2012 season!!! At the Donington meet we had set up camp with the MNR crew and had several beers Marc and Chris, and the rest is history..... well sort of future.....and present time.....

A plan was hatched, Marc would build us a modified Vortx chassis and we would develop a full body that would fit the Vortx chassis (both existing cars and new cars) tht we would use on the race car, and be available to buy through MNR for other Vortx customers.
